Here’s a sneak preview of one of the works for my solo show, ‘Sun & Moon’. The exhibition will run from 5-26 March, 2015 at traffic jam galleries, Neutral Bay. There will be a selection of bronze and steel works for both indoors and outside.

‘Beautopia’ has a spring in its step… The pink stilettos are now installed at St Ives Village shopping centre (Mona Vale Rd, St Ives) to herald Spring and new season fashions.
As well, Jenny has a mini exhibition of smaller works. Runs until end of October.
Despite the rain, the spirits were buoyant in Guilfoyle Park, Double Bay when Woollahra launched its Public Art trust with the unveiling of Jenny Green’s sculpture ‘Solitude’.
Speaking at the launch were Deborah Thomas (Woollahra Councillor and chair of the Trust), David Gonski (Company director, Chancellor of UNSW & Trustee of the Public Art Trust), Toni Zeltzert (Mayor of Woollahra) and Jenny Green.
Like much of her work, ‘Solitude’ has its origins in the figure. “My concept here was to reflect on inner peace and tranquility…. freedom from distraction … and a time for oneself”, Jenny said. “Now standing tall here amongst the trees, I hope the work encourages visitors to Guilfoyle park to take a moment to contemplate and to dream.”

I’m excited to announce that ‘Solitude’ is now installed in Guilfoyle Park at Double Bay.
Weighing nearly 200kg and 2.5m tall, I needed a crane and several helpers to install the work.
The sculpture is now permanently in the park as part of the Woollahra Public Art Trust.

In ‘Go Figure’, Jenny explores figures, flora and fantasy using steel, bronze and resin. Welcome to a world where nymphs and naiads wander; a time where the earth begins to bloom. Jenny says “I collect discarded steel, transform it, give it new life…. in much the way that plants can appear seemingly by magic on a bare rock”.
Although her work is industrial, it is light and breezy. Her intent to capture a moment, a movement, a feeling is reflected in the tension between space and material.

I am pleased to announce that David Gonski AC, Chancellor UNSW, and Professor Fred Hilmer, Vice Chancellor, unveiled ‘Fraction of the Whole’ at the University of NSW today.
Fraction of the Whole, an abstract and almost cubist couple in painted steel rods, explores relationships, commitment and companionship.
The work forms part of the University’s permanent collection and is situated in the foyer of the University Library.
