About Jenny Green

About Jenny

Jenny Green has been sculpting and exhibiting for 20 years.  In 2003, she saw the light and left her corporate career to undertake a BFA (sculpture) at the National Art School.  Since then she has been sculpting full time from her studio on Sydney’s northern beaches. Her work is typically abstract & figurative using steel, bronze and resin.

Her intent to capture an instant or a feeling is reflected in the tension between space and material.  She uses lines, curves, shapes and colour to explore movement and emotion. The results are lyrical yet industrial, ‘drawings in space’.

Jenny’s work  has been selected for the North Sydney Art Prize, inaugural Tom Bass Prize,  Harbour Sculpture,  Sculpture in the Vineyards, the Blake Prize Director’s Cut,  Sculpture at Sawmillers and the Willoughby Art Prize. Her work is represented in corporate, public and private collections and she has won several prizes.

In 2015, Jenny was appointed the Board of the National Art School.  Prior to that she was President of the Sculptors Society for five years. She received an Alumni Award for Arts & Culture from University of NSW in May 2016.
